Spring 2026, Periods D, E, schedule

Art/Religion & Philosopy 1:30 – 3:00pm

Today in class, I assembled my lamp and finished printing my final piece of my prototype. I finished my project and my shade is slightly wobbly, but it stands correctly and shines exactly how it is supposed to.

No homework.

In class, I 3D printed my final part to my prototype and will continue to assemble it next class. I also constructed the lamp in real time in ChatGPT in order to give it more definition. The final product was a gold map base with an aquatic scene on the lamp with the shells portraying on the surrounding walls.

No homework.

In class, I constructed my lamp and designed a part in order to connect the lamp and the oval base.

No homework.

In class, I finished my sketch and exported it in order to begin to print. I began to print,, but the printing job is going to take up to an hour so I am not able to see the final results.

No homework.

In class, I continued to work on my sketch on a different computer and put in dotted lines where the folds would be.

No homework.

In class, I started to move my sketch onto a separate computer and into rhino in order to print.

No homework.

In class, I completed a sketch of my model and exported the file onto a drive in order to create the base.

For homework, I continued to think about what materials would be the best for my model when building my prototype.

In class, I began to take measurements of my model in order to create a life sized prototype.

For homework, I thought more about the materials that I would need to make my model and decided on using cardboard.

In class, I completed my model of my lamp and started to think about what materials I will use to create my prototype. Based on my model, I believe that cardboard will be the best way to go in order for my lamp to produce the light and design that I would like it to.

For homework, I polished some of my designs and sketches and in class, I will add more holes to the lamp shade in order for more light to shine through.

In class, I completed my shade and imported my lightbulb into my design in order to model around it. Next class, I will complete my shade fully and put more holes in it in order for more light to shine through.

For homework, I continued to think about what materials I would used while fabricating my model such as wood for all aspects of my model. In order to allow my design to shine through and make a figure on the wall, I need to have a solid shade such wood. This will allow for my design to be more defined.

In class, I designed a lightbulb and finished the base of my lamp. After that, I started the design of my lamp and will continue to work on the holes to make a shell on my shade during the next class.

No homework.

Today in class, I completed the full size sketch of my lamp model and began the 3d process on fusion. I completed the base and long legs and will continue to work on the second half of the base including all holes necessary to thread the light wire through the model. Next class, I will model the lightbulb and will continue with my lamp model.

No homework.

In class, I began the full size drawing of my lamp.

For homework, I continued to work on my sketch for my lamp.

Today in class, we discussed what the requirements of our lamp project would be and the steps to take to complete all of them. I began to design the lamp with all reasonable dimensions. It is a lamp that has holes around the shade so when lit up, it will hopefully make a shell design on the wall around it. The socket will be at the base, with three metal stands coming off of it, into a round shade with holes on the shade that shape a shell.

No homework.

Today in class, I completed my model of my phone stand. Next class, I will figure out small details within my model including rotation amount and materials.

For homework, I continued to work on my hinge but ran into problems with jointing them together.

Today in class, I started on the hinge of my model and will continue to work on it for homework in order to connect all of my parts of my model.

For homework, I completed some of jointery in order to start on my last part, the hinge, in class.

In class, I completed the base and back of my phone stand. Next class, I will complete the hinge to connect all of my parts.

For homework, I completed a sketch of my model to start in class.

I class, I completed my phone model and began working on hinge designs for my phone.

For homework, I corrected a few errors that I made.

Today in class, I completed the buttons of my model and started on the camera and phone pocket of my case. For homework, I will complete this things and try to start working on the modeling of my phone stand. I will first create a paper model with all dimensions and then convert that model into my Fusion which will be built around my phone model.

Today for homework, I worked to model a part of my phone but found trouble in making the buttons. Therefore, I will ask in class for help with cutting parts of the button so they are in the center of the side of the phone.

Today, I completed a model of my phone including all dimensions with correct system of measurement for all parts.

No homework.
