Step 1: Define the problem:
Luminary Project: In this project we will make a luminary with personal designs be using Rhino 3D, a laser cutter, and a 3D printer. The designing process will take place in the Rhino 3D software and then transferring those designs to the laser cutter.
Constraints in the project:
- Each side of the luminary panel must have 5″ width, .22 thickness, and a height of 11″
- Diameter of candle = 1.474, Height= 0.69s
- Wood sheet: height= 24″, and a width of 12″

- My two designs were a mix of my knowledge I know about designs and cathedral art in different cathedrals
- I wanted more complex designs, so in the end, I decided to make all of the art symmetrical

- These were my final designs, which took a while
- I tried to include different types of shapes and sizes, where I felt drawn for lines and symmetrical objects
- From my original designs to my final designs, I improved dramatically
- To makes these designs, I had to make shapes using the polyline tool along with the circle tool and the square tool on the Rhino 3D menu
