Spring 2026, Periods D, E, schedule

All work and images of final project have been posted in week 9

Art/Religion & Philosopy 1:30 – 3:00pm

For classwork and homework of 5/21, I finished my final touches to project so you can see in my project I have all holes, lightbulb inside ball, and intricate design resembling a tennis ball, my intials engraved into design, the lightbulb featuring the lightbulb plus the threaded rod and disk, and my overall lamp design, I also have my section analysis which shows my work depsite it not showing it being shelled it was in the past and says this body cannot be shelled since it has been which Mr. Brodie said it was fine and good, I also have the image of final design of lamp and lightbulb and the bulb inside lamp as well as my 3 render images one with dark gray background, light gray and one with blue i took these to to image generation via AI and it created my lamp in real life situation in diffrerent materials such as metal, wood, glass, concrete, stone and marble overall I really enjoyed this project and this class and I will miss it dearly.

For classwork and homework of 5/19, I was making my final edits to design fixing the lightbulb and hole for the wire and added one more creative component by engraving my initials into design last step was the rendering and image generation.

For classwork and homework of 5/15 , I focused on editing my project by centering the poles, aligning the pieces and clicking on parts in the above photo to see if my lightbulb and tennis ball was centered and in the right place and feasible if we were to create as well.

For classwork and homework of 5/13, I finished shelling and began to redo my intricate design of the ball which took much precision and effort however i was sucessful and I inserted the lightbulb into the shelled body.

For classwork and homework of 5/11 I realized that I hadn’t actually shelled properly but already spilt the body of my old tennis ball so i had to create a new sphere learn how to shell, apply a plane, spilt body and began shelling

Here in my design for classwork and homework of 5/7 I realized I had some flaws such as centering my lightbulb, and creating a disk to put underneath the top as before the lightbulb had nowhere to surface upon so it was floating however that is why I created the disk to the right to fix that issue.

For classwork and homework of 5/5 I was able to import my lightbulb into my tennis which I thought I did my shelling then I wanted to create a decorative extra cylinder/socket to ” hold” the lightbulb.

For the classwork and homework of 5/1 I worked on iterating my project even more with joining pieces, making them more aligned, and created a detailed and intricate design for my tennis ball to go from appearing like a sphere to actually a tennis ball.

For classwork and homework of 4/29 I then worked on joining both the top to the bottom creating the hole and joining the ball to it and importing my preexisting lightbulb to my current design creating the entire outer design of my lamp

For classwork and homework I worked on creating the top of my structure where my tennis ball and lightbulb would be on it will have a small hole to hold the ball and beneath the ball and lightbulb a plate so the bulb has a surface to stay upon.

For hw due 4/24 and classwork on 4/24 I created the project used the loft tool to create the base then use the pipe tool to create rods and join them together to build the base and the top base and the intial parts of my lamp here is a image:

In Class of 4/22 I finished the brown sketch and began modeling the project:

For homework of 4/22 I just planned out what I would do to finish the brown sketch and brainstormed how the design would come to be.

In class of 4/20 I began to write my problem statement which was this-For my lamp design i will be making an intricate tennis ball lamp design it will have a cone shaped base with arms or rectangular pieces connecting to an inverted cone-like shape which will hold the tennis ball as a sphere with lines as a tennis ball would and inside it will have the lightbulb we created in fusion 360 and a socket to hold it this will be my design. It will be about 9-10 inches and maxium of 6 inches wide at the very bottom and at the top around 5 inches wide as well. The ball will be 4.27 inches big since the lightbulb is 3.57 inches total to hold it and the socket will be 0.50 inches tall as well. This will the final design I choose to create. I also began my brown sketch/big sketch and finished the last concept sketch.

hw 4/20: I then realized i needed to make concept sketches so I began to meticoulously do that: I created 4.

During class I worked on the lightbulb and began the lamp project

For hw of 4/16 I was able to finish my project after much effort:

During class I basically finished the project I just had to fix some errors

For homework I continued joining the parts together almost finishing the project:

Doing class of 4/11 I was able to start joining parts like the base, base verts, and arms which were already joined to the holder and the stand itself. –

For the hw due this day I began to try and join everything however it was a bit of a struggle so I began to edit my stand design

For class of 4/9 I actually created the stand where the iphone would attach to so I would be one step closer to finish

For Homework I didn’t have much time however I starting creating a sketch on the the correct face for the actual stand part

In class I joined both my arms to the base verticals and base and creating a new piece on the side used for the hold the iphone stand part when i design it didn’t take much time as it was inspired by the original base and base verticals.

For hw I starting to create or edit arms to use for my iphone stand to join to the base and base verticals

For classwork, I started by designing the base and base verticals of the model:

For the homework of 4/3 I figured out my sketches for iphone holder and i sketched them accurately on paper

In class on 4/1 I finished my iphone model completly by finishing the card holder

For homework, I started at the bottom of the phone; however I didn’t have much time so I began the sketch:

In class on 3/30, I continued to modify my sketch and my design by starting the bottom:

In class, I finished the bottom of the iPhone with all the holes and extrusions

Mar 30 hw: I continued working by finishing the side buttons and the side camera button.

In class, I took more dimensions on paper and fully finished the camera. Here are the two pictures.-

For hw of this day 3/27 We had to begin our model so I created the brick of the phone and the file and first component and I extruded the brick and was working on the camera.

3/25 classwork in class, we started our new project on created an iphone stand, where we first took dimensions of the phone to work up on through a drawn sketch-

3/25- We had no homework
