- Set Units to CM
- Create New Component: Base
- Start Sketch
- Select Front XY plane

- Draw center point rectangle starting at point of origin
- 60 cm x 60 cm
- Delete construction lines
- Draw second center point rectangle on middle of right side
- 12 cm x 6 cm
- Press L for line
- Toggle line type to construction
- Draw horizontal and vertical construction lines from origin

- Toggle line type to regular line
- Draw lines
- Mirror lines

- Type D for dimension
- Dimension sketch
- 10 cm from edge
- 20 cm tall
- 12 cm inside line

- Mirror lines along horizontal construction line
- Mirror rectangle along vertical construction line

- Trim lines
- Finish Sketch

- Type E for extrude
- Set Direction = Symmetric
- Extruded Distance = 50 cm

- Create NEW COMPONENT : Slider
- Make sure Slider component is selected
- Start Sketch
- Select XY plane
- Type P for project
- Selection Filter = Bodies to project 3d model information to sketch plane

- Type L for line
- Toggle line type to construction
- Draw a vertical construction line from center
- Toggle line type to regular line
- Draw horizontal line 10 cm
- Draw vertical line even with top edge

- Type L for line
- Toggle line type to construction
- Draw horizontal construction line to determine center
- Toggle line type to regular line
- Draw center point arc with a Diameter = 48 cm
- Trim lower half of circle

- Draw second center point arc with a Diameter = 72 cm

- Type L for line
- Draw a small line connecting the large arch and vertical line
- Mirror lines to opposite side
- Trim the lower half of large circle

- Make sure your construction centerline is long enough to place the center of the rectangle on the line.
- Draw a center point rectangle with first point on center line
- 24 cm x 10 cm
- Make sure second point touches arc
- Type D for dimension
- Dimension rectangle
- Finish Sketch

- Make sure your center construction line is long enough to place the center of the rectangle.

- Draw 24 x 10 cm rectangle above half circle

- Use the coincident constraint to make the lower right corner of the rectangle coincident with the large circle.

- Finish Sketch

- Type E for extrude
- Set Direction to Symmetric
- Select Profile faces
- Extrude Distance = 10 cm

Hide base component

- Type H for Hole
- Select top Face
- Set hole diameter = 12 cm
- Set first Reference distance = 12 cm from short edge
- Set second Reference distance = 10 cm from long edge
- Set Extents = All
- Hole Type = Simple
- Hole Tap Type = Simple
- Drill Point = Flat

- Type F for fillet
- Select edges
- Fillet radius = 4 cm

- Right Mouse Click on main assembly
- Create NEW COMPONENT
- NAME = Pin

- Create Cylinder
- Select top face of slider
- Place center point
- Diameter = 12 cm
- Length = 60 cm

- Create second cylinder on the top face of previous cylinder
- Diameter = 24 cm
- Length = 20 cm

- Create Hole
- Select side face
- Diameter = 5 cm
- Extents = ALL
- Select top edge as Reference
- Set distance from top edge = 10 cm

Right mouse click on base in browser and Ground

- Type J for joint
- Click Motion Tab and Type = Slider
- Click Position Tab and set Component 1 to the center of the inside face of slider

- Set Component 2 to the side face of base

- Click on the Motion Tab
- Click on Preview Motion
- If the motion is in the wrong direction, change the slide Axis to X
- Preview Motion
- Click OK

- To view the timeline, select assembly at the top of the browser
- Right mouse click on joint feature in timeline
- Edit Joint Limits

- Minimum = -50 cm
- Maximum = 50 cm

- Type J for joint
- Component 1 = Center of bottom face top cylinder
- Component 2 = Center of top hole in base

- Right mouse click on joint feature in timeline
- Edit Joint Limits
- Minimum = 0 cm
- Maximum = 33 cm
- Type A for appearance
- Apply color materials to components
