Spring 2026, Periods D, E, schedule

I finished all the required work for the term and also did some extra creative projects. I rendered my lamp in many different ways, creating all different situations for it.

Art/Religion & Philosopy 1:30 – 3:00pm

No work, since my project is done, and I did more than the amount needed of renderings.

For homework I thought I was going to create a house design, but I ended up just putting some random shapes together and this came out of it.

Today in class I showed Mr. Brodie my work and he said the line up was perfect. Im very happy with my project as I put a lot of time and effort into it, finding the best dimensions and how it is viewed.

Since I finished the lamp, I built a camera using many different tolls on fusion but mostly the filet command. I thought a camera consists of many different cool parts and thats why I chose to built it.

Absent due to sports

For homework I did what Mr. Brodie asked of me. I extended the medal rod up and made it so that it connects to the light build but still allows for the light bulbs structure to be the same.

For class I created three new designs of the lamp. I did different color combos. I put one of the lamps into the white house, one in a ad with many different celebrities, and lastly I put the lamp into a Fortnite ad. I was looking at section analysis and have one more tweak to make before the project is fully done.

This is a picture of drake the famous rapper purchasing my lamp at a fancy store. He has great taste in lamps and decided to pick mine. He also brought it home to his waterfront home in California, showing my lamps high value.

I finished the model as said before, but Im not printing anymore because the printers are all being used. Today in class I used all different materials and colors on the lamp, and decided the best type. I added it into nano banana and finished and below is the final. Im going to keep making different lamps and find the best setting for it.

I finished all requirements on the fusion Lamp and it is all done. I just need to print in class tomorrow using wood, and then the following days use the 3d printer when available.

Today in class I almost started to print but all my files are saved to the dxf and I will print next class. Its very busy in the printing room so I will have to wait but my project is all done and ready to be printed.

I stayed for consultation so I got a lot done. Mr. Brodie started to re draw some of the parts, but im confused on what i’m supposed to do from there. I am going to hold off till tomorrow because the model is basically done, and I don’t have more to do on fusion. The project looks the same as the photo below.

Today in class I worked on the lamp shade. I have been very confused with this part but I stayed after for consultation with Mr. Brodie and he helped me a lot. Im on the right track and am printing next class.

For homework I finished what Mr. Brodies ask me to do. I finished the lamp shade, and Im still not 100% sure if its perfect. I have made many shades and I think this ones the best and closely resembles the one Mr Brodies asked me to copy.

Today in class I was confused on making the lamp shade, I created one but Mr. Brodie told me to do a new one. Mr Brodie was occupied in the room so I didn’t ask the questions I had. I will finish the shade for hw

I do not have any modeling to do on fusion, so I can’t add to my project in any way. I hope to start printing tomorrow as I have finished my lamp.

Today in class I tried creating the lamp shade base. It took me very long and I kept trying different things until I finished it in the end. I think I am now ready to print next class.

I didn’t have much to do for homework because I did a lot last class and completed the lamp. I have a few in class questions to ask Mr. Brodie and I also hope to start printing tomorrow. Tonight I just added some touches, the lamp shade is hidden to show the light switch I created.

Today in class I put the lamp shade onto the top with making a connection that would hold it. This connection took a lot of time but I found out how to make it. I also made the hole at the bottom for the wire to come in.

For homework I created the lamp shade and widened the base. The base was small and could not hold the lamp upright so I made it bigger. I also added the harp fitter so that the lamp could fit onto the bulb.

For class today I finished the center piece and the attachment piece to the bulb. Im still figuring out how to make the base equal to hold the lamp up without falling. I still need to design the parts to hold the bulb.

Today for homework I started to create the center of the lamp. I mirrored the one sketch over and also added the connection on both sides of the center piece. I still need to revolve the pieces to make it look as the bottom looks but Im still deciding what I want do to for that part.

Today in class I finished the base of the lamp. I also finished the big sketch of the lamp. Next I will start the center pumpkin piece. Im deciding if I should still use a pumpkin as the center or just a regular center traditional piece.

For homework I designed a little on fusion, but was just exploring because I still need to finish the big sketch. I couldn’t do much because Im still deciding what diameters I want. Im hoping to finish the sketch in class tomorrow and get the dimensions I need to start the real design on fusion and start putting together the full lamp. As seen not much has been done because Im confused on how to twist the center.

I decided i’m going to make the center piece a pumpkin because I added grooves to old model and it looked like a pumpkin. I wanted to make it more creative then just a regular traditional lamp. It will be the same as the model I have made just the design will be a pumpkin. Today I made most of the lamp on the full size paper but I am going to continue next class and finish the full sized sketch. I change some measurements as seen below.

Measurements

Bottom big base 0.25

3.5 big diameter

Small base: 1.75

Pumpkin center: 9

I have decided the specific materials for my lamp. Starting off with the base as a lightweight aluminum. The base will consist of a smaller circle on-top of a larger circle. The smaller circle will create a shape that will increasingly get skinnier to reach the base. The base will be shaped like a pumpkin with lines across the top to bottom. The center will be made out of glass that will be darker for a fancy effect. The center will be met with another circle extrusion that will get skinnier again as it goes up but will widen at the top that we will call the second base. The second base will meet with the lamps neck. The bases, and neck will all be the same lightweight aluminum. The lamp shade will be a linen fabric for durability. I will connect the base with the center, neck, second base etc.. with a lamp rod. The lamp rod will screw into the center of the base and stick upwards through the second base and meet the light bulb for support. This rod is cut down the middle for the addition of the power cord. This cord will enter the base and will move upwards in the rod where it meets the bulb. Im still figuring out the diameters.

The full lamp: 27 in

The lamp shade: 9 in

Center: 9.5 in

Bottom big base 0.75

Small base: 1.75

I finished the full sketch of the traditional lamp with all parts. I also finished the light bulb on fusion and next class I will create the big sketch on the brown paper.

Problem statement: I want to build a lamp that is very powerful with the old fashioned effect. It will have high powered light with still having that traditional look.

Today I finished my three sketches of lamps. I made a palm tree lamp and expanded my tradition lamp and also my Eiffel tower lamp. I hope to create the bigger sketch on brown paper tomorrow and will probably do the traditional lamp. I think it’s the best for the project I want to have.

Today in class I worked on creating concept sketches. I found a lamp I want to create and make the sketch of it below.

Tonight I brainstormed for most of the homework time. I wanted to find what model I wanted to make the lamp. I found the Eiffel Tower, and think it would be a good lamp setup. I still have a question for Mr Brodie, and that is if I would be able to angle the tower like it is in real life on fusion. I drew out the sketch below labelling how I will do most parts.

I created many lamp sketches today, but I couldn’t find any I wanted. I found one I did and finished the drawing just before class ended. I have an idea of what I want to do.

I was confused on what I was to do for homework because I just finished the phone holder and didn’t know what project was next.

I got a lot done today, including finishing the phone stand and creating a ball joint. I can fully rotate the phone either way with this ball joint. I re-created the main phone holder and its better now.

I finished the base model of the phone holder. I still need to combine the main holder to the base. I also need to find a way to spin the holder to rotate the phone.

I got a lot done today, as I re-did the base and made the metal discs. I added the middle part and am going to join the poles to the middle part, also adding the metal discs in too.

I worked on creating the two poles that will keep my holder upright. I’m still figuring out how big I want my base so that it can withstand the heaviness of my phone. I’m hoping to join the parts with Mr Brodie’s help tomorrow, as today it was not working.

started to design the phone model but messed up a few times, so I didn’t get very far. I am still experimenting with what I want the design to look like, and I’m still seeing what the best design possible is for this holder is.

I finished two sketches of the phone holder design. I tried to find the best way to combine phone comfort with less bulk. I’m still researching to see how to make the first one smaller while keeping the same look.

I started to create the design for my phone stand as I finished the model of the phone. I’m still figuring out how I want the phone stand to be put and how it is displayed.

I finished my iPhone design, including filing the sides, extruding the wallet, buttons, and the speaker holes. I also smoothed out the edges, which helped make my design better.

I finished the wallet and thickness; I just need to do the thinner side of the wallet. I also need to add the side buttons that got deleted. I finished the camera too.

I worked with Mr. Brodie in consultation, so I got a lot done, but I still need some key thicknesses and dimensions from my phone before I can finish the model. I need to get the thickness of the camera on the case and card holder. I added the ringer, volume, and on button thickness, and the bottom button. I added the charger and speaker port. I just need to get the thickness to see how much it needs to be inverted.

I created the camera and card holder, and finished the buttons on my phone. I’m almost done, just have a few more pieces to add.

I started creating my phone sketch in Fusion and added the side buttons. I missed a few key dimensions that I need to get to further my model.

I created my phone organizer sketch, getting all the measurements. I used a ruler to create the sketch and find the correct measurements. I finished off using the circle template to get the radius of the corner edges.
