Finished Modeling

For class, I added dowels to the lamp to add support and make gluing easier, and started gluing the round bit to the frames. I’m really excited for how this will turn out.

Finished Modeling

In class I made some slight adjustments to the design to make it work better, and finished gluing the stand.

Finished Modeling

Here are my two renders of my model. I wish I could have made it with wood like this.

Today, I glued the frames to the paper, started constructing my stand, and glued the round bit together after cutting it off of the paper. I’m really excited to see it all come together.

Finished Modeling

Today I glued the frame together, and glued the round bit to paper. I also rendered my lamp and added appearances in fusion.

Finished Modeling

For class, I cut out the round bit of my lamp, which is the last part I need before assembling it. I didn’t take a picture, as it was very last minute.

Finished Modeling

Today, I finished making all of the wooden bits for the lamp.

Finished Modeling

I started to fabricate my lamp, starting with the inner parts with the hydrangea cutouts.

I finally figured out how to emboss the flowers onto the round bit of the lamp.

In class, I worked on the flower patterns and added the edges that allow them to be cut out. I also rotated the pattern as I was trying to emboss it onto the round bit of the lamp. I haven’t quite figured it out yet, but I hopefully will soon.

For homework, I kept working on the flower patterns.

I started working on the hydrangea patterns for the round bit.

Finished modeling, so I’m not sure what to do next.

Today, I finished the stand for the lamp, and assembled it using joints.

Today, I joined the main body of the lamp together with joints, including the lightbulb. I also added a hole for the wiring, and added a component for the next part of the lamp.

Today, I learned that my lamp was the wrong size, but I was able to scale it up, so none of that hard work went to waste. I finished the hydrangea patterns, created the piece that goes in between the two sides, duplicated the frame and hydrangea cutouts to create the other side, and started using joints to put it together.

For homework, I continued to work on the hydrangea patterns. They take longer than you think they would, because I do each flower by hand. I’m sure there’s a faster way, but I feel that doing it by hand means that a lot more thought goes into where I put the flowers.

I modeled the lightbulb, and started the sketch second patch of hydrangea flowers.

I finished the more intricate parts of the design of the first hydrangea.

I made a to-scale sketch of my lamp, and started to model it. Currently, I am working on sketching out the hydrangea pattern.

Finished sketching out my design. There wasn’t much left to add, but I added some labels and explanations to make it more complete.

In class, I picked a design and started sketching it out in more detail. I still have a bit more to draw, but I made significant progress.

Today I added more designs, and narrowed them down. I think I want to do something like a circular hanging lamp. I think it gives me a good canvas to start on.

I started brainstorming designs for the lamp project.

None, finished modeling.

I finished modeling the phone holder, including fixing some broken things about the model. I also used some textures to the holder.

Today, I created a second hinge, rounded out some corners, and created a sketch that will be useful later.

Today I made a hinge, finished modeling the base of the phone stand, and finished modeling most of the rubber bits. There’s still a bit of work to be done on them, but they’re mostly finished.

For homework, I added another piece of the phone holder and started to work on modeling the rubber bits that help the stand to not slip and look like paw pads that cats have.

Today I finished designing my phone stand and started to model it.

I came up with a new design for the phone holder based on a cat because I thought it would be fun.

Today I finished modeling my phone and started designing the stand.

I couldn’t continue modeling because I don’t have certain measurements, but I started sketching some things for the phone stand.

In class, I continued to model the phone, adding buttons and making an indent for the camera.

For homework, I modeled as much of the phone as I could, as I had missed some important measurements.

Today, I sketched out my phone and measured the dimensions.
