-I wasn’t exactly sure how to start this design project out, but it went smoother than I thought it would have. I started by designing a base in Rhino3D and cutting that our using the machine downstairs. From there The wood for the skateboard was cut and is now being pressed into my frame to complete the design. I also made a cardboard cutout for the design on the bottom of the board.

-Proposal

-My problem is I don’t have a way to get around campus easily. My solution is to make a skateboard out of wood. It’s gonna be hard to make it thick enough to not break and have wheels that actually work.

The difficult part i’ve found is trying to figure out how exactly the measurements are gonna add up for the project.

-Rapid Prototyping Homework

Rapid prototyping is a method used by designers to rapidly speed up the process of creating a product by making a scale model with the assistance of 3D modeling. Google Glass used this method to quickly make many different types of prototypes of the design so they could figure out what exactly they liked and disliked with the Glass.
