James M.

Today, I completed the sketch of my phone and further detailed it. I used the appearance tool to color my phone and make it look as realistic as possible. I also used the 3D fillet tool to replicate the edges of my phone to make it as accurate as possible.

Tonight I used my hand-drawn sketch to create an iPhone 17 in fusion. I implemented the dimensions I measured during my time sketching and inputting them into Fusion.

Today, I created a sketch of my iPhone. I took all of the measurements with a digital ruler, getting every dimension defined within the sketch and defining the front, back, and side profiles.

These are my projects at the end of the term

LED Lamp

Desktop organizer

Pencil box

Tonight I completed my box and used the combine tool to create holes so the inside dividers can be inserted when assembling it

Today I completed my LED lamp. I sodered and taped the lines and combined the base and the lamp.

No HW to be done, only classwork

IN class, I helped Mr. Brodie by helping cut the bases for the LED lamps created by my classmates

I created the base for the box and started to work on the inside dividers

I used the correct sketch to extrude the sides of my box

After class, I found a flaw in my design, and I had to restart. Although now I have the sketch correct and can use it to extrude my parts easily

In class, I started to work on the inside dividers and used the combine tool to create joinery within the sides of the box.

I continued to work on the box

Today, I made revisions to my desktop organizer

For homework, I continued my box and further modified my design

Today I began my final project of the box

I am waiting to print my final project

I fixed the bottom of py project and used the combine tool to create mortises for the rear divider

Tonight I fixed the errors, and next class I am printing the project

Today I started printing the project and fixing errors

I completed the project.

I was waiting for my classmates to print and aiding them in the printing process.

I completed the project and will print it next class

In class, I extruded and copied the first small triangle. After the triangle was created, I copied and pasted the new components to create the other three. After I used the combine tool to join them to the bottom face and the dividers. After I saved my progress and completed the project.

For homework, I created the front divider and back divider. Using the combine tool to create joinery, I joined the dividers and the large triangle to the bottom face.

My computer was not operational at this time

Homework and in-class work assignments not submitted on time will receive a grade of 0.

In class, I completed the sketches for the front and back sides of the desktop organizer. I extruded the front side and used the extrude to object tool to get the right thickness to join to the rest of the body, then saved my progress.

I completed the required homework in class.

Today I finished the left-side sketch. When I finished the sketch, I copied the component to create the right side. When I created the right side, I went into the sketch, deleted one of the rectangles, and finished it. When I was finished with the sketches, I extruded them and used the joint tool to set the distance between the sides.

I completed this Homework in class

Today, I glued my lower arm, base plate, and base verticals. After blocking and clamping them together, I moved on. After I imported my base into the Lamp file and used the command key with the joint command to bind them together.

For Homework, I created the base for my lamp. I used the project and extrude tool to create the three components that make up the base. After I saved my progress.

Today I redid the metal plates on my fusion drawing. After I put the lamp together and printed my Base plate and base verticals. After printing them, I epoxied my large metal discs to my base verticals and marked my parts with my name.

Today, I sanded the lower arm and glued it together, then I epoxyed the metal discs and magnets to the lower arm using the metal plate.

For homework, I created the base plate and base verticals. After creating and copying the base verts, I used the joint command to put together the base verts and the base plate. Then I saved my progress.

In class, I redid my rectangular cutouts on the lower arm and used the laser cutter to cut out the lower arm. After printing, I taped my parts together and put my initials on the tape

I completed the homework due this day in class

Today, I sketched the lower arm horizontal and extruded it. Then, after I used the combine tool to join it between the two lower arms, I saved my progress.

I completed the homework in class that was due today.

In class today, I gathered my printed parts from the previous class and sanded off the burn residue with the sander. After that, I used the metal plate to help insert the magnets and epoxy them successfully. After the epoxy dried, I reassembled the parts and allowed them to cure fully.

I completed this homework in class on friday.

Before I printed my upper arm, I completed Tuesday’s homework in class. I joined the metal discs, then connected the lower arms to the small metal discs. When I joined them, I made sure they could spin and were not rigid. Then I saved my process.

I completed the sketch of the Lower Arm Side, created the small and large metal discs to help connect the arms, and saved all of my progress under “lower arm side and small metal discs.”

Today, we outlined all the sides with the sketch then learned about how to use the lazer cutter.

For homework, I watched the video that explained how to create the upper horizontal. After I sketched it out I extruded it and then used the combine tool to create joinery within the components. Then I saved the project.

We created the circular and rectangular pattern on the arm and then extruded it, which made the arm a 3d object. Then I jointed the two sides of the arm.

I watched the tutorial and completed the drawing of part 1 of the upper arm, and saved my progress.

I downloaded all the software and learned to create a box and saved everything
