Week 10
Fri, 5/24/21 CW – image of work completed in class
Fri, 5/24/21 HW – Tonight for homework I had nothing to do because I have completed all of my final projects.
Tues, 5/21/24 CW – Today in class I saved all of my sketches as DXF files, printed them, and assembled the lamp out of cardboard. I love how the lamp came out. I also assembled the lamp in fusion.
Tues, 5/21/24 HW – Tonight for homework I finalized my luminary lamp 3D model and will print it in class tomorrow. I tweaked some small issues and made it look better overall.
Mon, 5/20/24 CW – Today in class I completed my last design, giving me a great base to work with, I adjusted a lot of positive and negative space issues, but I still have more work to do especially with the letters.
Mon, 5/20/24 HW – Tonight for homework I continued to work on my design, I only have one panel left then I can print! Hopefully, I can start to print tomorrow in class.
Week 9
Tues, 5/14/24 CW- Today in class I continued working and adding details onto the lamp, the design is coming together nicely.
Tues, 5/14/24 HW – Tonight for homework I kept on working on my project, I added more complex designs.
Mon, 5/13/24 CW – Today in class I began sketching out my lamp on fusion, I also glued up the last part of my divider, it is now complete! There are photos of all the angles of it.
Week 8
Fri, 5/10/24 CW – Today in class I finished up the top of my divider, due to some issues I had, I needed to cut and sand it down a little, but now, it looks great! Now the side holder needs to be glued and then I’m done!
Fri, 5/10/24 HW – Tonight for homework I continued to sketch some designs for the lamp. I have almost completed my symmetrical design.
Tues, 5/7/24 CW – I missed this class due to family reasons.
Tues, 5/7/24 HW – Tonight for homework I began to sketch up some designs for my lamp, 2 symmetrical and 2 asymmetrical. But I had little time as I was leaving campus due to family reasons.
Mon, 5/6/24 CW – Today in class I completed the glue up of my divider and now I just need to add the compartment inside. That will take 5 minutes.
Mon, 5/6/24 HW – Tonight for homework I read the introduction to the luminary design challenge.
Week 7
Fri, 5/3/24 CW – (head of school day)
Fri, 5/3/24 HW – This is the work I did when I came in on Wednesday and began gluing up my divider.
WED 5/1/24 HW- Tonight for homework I placed the cardboard version of my organizer on Malcom’s desk to prove that it will work. And I started thinking about my lamp designs.
Tues, 4/30/24 CW – Today in class I re-printed the bottom and then sanded and stained each of the pieces.
Tues, 4/30/24 HW – Tonight for homework I was unable to complete anything as I have finished my divider project and do not know what to do next.
Mon, 4/29/24 CW – Today in class I finished printing and started to assemble my divider. Now I just need to glue it and stain it.
Week 6
Fri, 4/26/24 CW – Today in class I started printing my desktop divider out of wood!
Fri, 4/26/24 HW – Tonight for homework I added side joints to the bottom, and a bottom joint to the middle divider.
Tues, 4/23/24 CW – Today in class I printed and assembled my divider out of cardboard.
Tues, 4/23/24 HW – Tonight for HW I finished saving all my files as DXF files and sorting all of them out on my desktop. I didn’t work on the design itself because it is complete.
Week 5
Fri, 4/19/24 CW – Today in class I saved all of my sketches to a DXF put them in a folder, and put that folder onto a hard drive, then started to print but ran out of time.
Fri, 4/19/24 HW – Tonight for homework I completed my 3D divider for Malcom, I added a lid to the container, jointed it in and added one more small divider.
Tues, 4/16/24 CW – Today in class I finished up my inner dividers combined them, made a new center divider joined that and combined everything, I also started on the lid to a compartment.
Tues, 4/16/24 HW – Tonight for HW I redid my bottoms joinery added another divider, and re-extruded my front. My fault for not the best photo.
Mon, 4/15/24 CW – Today in class I restarted my dividers to add joinery. My next step is making a compartment.

Fri, 4/12/24 CW – image of work completed in class
Fri, 4/12/24 HW – Tonight for homework I added joints to the bottom to joint into both sides, and added a joint to the bottom of the vertical divider that splits the two horizontal dividers.
Tues, 4/9/24 CW – Today in class I reworked a lot of joinery as it was messed up and added some dividers.
Tues, 4/9/24 HW – Tonight for HW I added a top as well as worked on some joinery which took a while.
Mon, 4/8/24 CW – While it doesn’t seem like I did a lot this class I reworked some of my bottoms joinery and started to add some dividers.
Mon, 4/8/24 HW -Tonight I continued to keep on working on my divider.
Week 3 – Begin the Desktop Organizer project.
Fri, 4/5/24 CW – Today in class I kept on making progress on my divider project
Fri, 4/5/24 HW – – Tonight for HW I re-did the front part but I had to redo it again in class
Tues, 4/2/24 CW – Today I started a sketch for the new divider project
Tues, 4/2/24 HW – Today for HW I created and refined some concept sketches.
Mon, 4/1/24 CW – Today in class I interviewed Malcom, because I am making the divider for him. I also wrote a action problem statement for the divider I will make for him.
Week 2
Tues, 3/26/24 CW – Today in class I finished the dividers, completing the
organizer and I also made 8 open-ended questions for the divider I will make for my mom.

Tonight for homework I started on the interior dividers, I made them by using the original sketch and using the combine tool to do it.

Today in class I extruded the front of the divider, and made/combined/jointed the bottom and back part of the divider.
Week 1
Fri, 3/22/24 CW – today in class I made the right side of the organizer and almost completed the front of the organizer. All I have left to do on the front is just a little insert on the top

Spring Term 2024
