I am finished with my Desk Top Organizer. I next will complete the pencil holder test, but I don’t have any dimensions so I will need to wait until class to complete it.
Week 9
Thur, Feb 13 CW – Image of work completed in class
In class, I finished my organizer. I made the little triangles without using the video. Next class or during Sunday consultation I will print it out.

Thur, Feb 13 HW – Image of completed homework
For homework, I correctly positioned the larger triangle. I used the combine tool to cut out the large triangle’s connecters, and I jointed the large traingle.

Tues, Feb 11 HW – Image of completed homework
In class today, I worked I extruded sides and fixed up my outer sides. I still need to make the small triangles, but on the bright side I was able to not restart because I figured out what went wrong.

Week 8
Sat, Feb 8 HW – image of completed in class
Somehow, I added the angle to a component, so I need to restart the entire project.

Sat, Feb 8 HW – image of completed homework
For homework, I started building the dividing triangle, but when I tried to extrude the entire right side would move instead of the triangle I made.

Thur, Feb 6 CW – image of work completed in class
In class today, I completed the entire frame of the box. I need to do the partition and print next class, then I will be done.

Week 7
Thur, Jan 30 CW – Image of work completed in class
In class today, I had some trouble extruding the front. For some reason, Fusion did not want to recognize the sides, so I had to get help extruding it. I just need to do the bottom of the organizer then the interior shelfs of it.

Thur, Jan 30 HW – Image of completed homework
For homework, I completed the back of my desk organizer. I don’t know what happened, but my front work from last class is gone. Hopefully I will be able to fix it, but I don’t know what happened.

Tues, Jan 28 CW – Image of work completed in class
In class today, I finished the sketch of my front face. I still need to extrude it, but the bulk of the front face work is done.

Tues, Jan 28 HW – Image of completed homework
For homework tonight, I started to create the sketch of the front side. I have difficulty copy and pasting the curve from the original sketch, so I was forced to stop at that step.

Week 6
Fri, Jan 24 CW – image of work completed in class
Fri, Jan 24 HW – image of completed homework
In class, we worked independently on our desk organizers. I separated the left side and the right side using the joint command. My next step will be to work on the front face.

Wed, Jan 22 CW – image of work completed in class
Wed, Jan 22 HW – image of completed homework
In class today, we started a new project: desk organizer. We are doing this so, next week, we can design a desk organizer for ourselves or someone in the house.

Week 5
Sunday, Jan 19 CW – images of work completed during consultation
Today, I went to GCAD and worked on the assembly and wiring of my lamp. I learned how to connect wires and not to use to much glue. I was able to complete my lamp.

Sat, Jan 18 CW – image of work completed in class
In class today, I finished printing out all of my parts. I will start assembling the lamp next class.

Sat, Jan 18 HW – image of completed homework
Thur, Jan 16 CW – image of work completed in class
In class today, Mr. Brodie shoed us how to wire all the electrical component. I sanded and wired my base, but was unable to assemble because I need to re-cut out the the lower arm because we ran out of wood.

Thur, Jan 16 HW – image of completed homework
Tues, Jan 14 CW – image of work completed in class
In class today, I printed out my lower arms and horizontal. As I was installing one of the arms, it broke, so I will need to re-print it next class.

Tues, Jan 14 HW – image of completed homework
Week 4
Fri, Jan 10 CW – image of work completed in class
In class, I worked on finishing up the base. Unfortunately, the line to print was to long so I wasn’t able to print this class, but all my part are ready.

Fri, Jan 10 HW – image of completed homework
For homework tonight, I started making the baseplate for the LED Lamp. I used many circle to make the bsae, along with trimming and not need lines in the base. In addition, we used the extrusion tool to cut instead of make a new body, which is something I don’t remember doing before.

Wed, Jan 8 -CW – image of work completed in class
During consultation and class, I completed the lower horizontal, I just need to extrude the holes in the horizontal’s face.

Wed, Jan 8 HW – image of completed homework
For homework tonight, we were supposed to create the horizontal piece for the lower arm. I had difficulty getting the horizontal to get to the midpoint of the lower arm.
Update: I figured out the issue was I still had the distance between the two object so they didn’t join together.

Week3
Thur, Dec 19 CWW – image of completed homework
In class, I began working on the horizontal arm.

Thur, Dec 19 HW – None
Wed, Dec 18 CW – image of work completed in class

Tues, Dec 10 HW – Image of completed homework
For homework tonight, we began to start designing our lamp, following the steps in the video Mr. Brodie provided. I learned how to use the “trim” feature to get rid of any lines I didn’t need, and to use the “tangent constraints” so my lines would meet the sphere at one point but not overlap.

Week 1
Fri, Dec 6 CW – image of completed in class
We worked with the extrusion tool and we learned how to make holes. I am getting more comfortable with the Fusion program.

Wed, Dec 6 CW – image of work completed in class
We started to work with Fusion. One of the most important things we’ve learned so far is that “every part needs to be a separate component”.
