Sat, Feb 8 HW – image of completed homework

Today for homework, I edited my sketch and added holes for my sides. Then I will make the other pair of sides and extrude every other hole.
Thur, Feb 6 CW – image of work completed in class

Today, I finished my desktop design and was unable to print the parts because the printers were being used by others. Therefore, I started working on the new project.
Week 7
Thur, Jan 30 CW – Image of work completed in class

Today in class, I finished my sketch for the desktop and will now print my pieces the next class by creating sketches on all my parts and projecting them.
Thur, Jan 30 HW – Image of completed homework

For homework, I made the Large Angle Triangle in my desktop using another joint.
Tues, Jan 28 CW – Image of work completed in class

Today, I fixed my project by editing the sketches because I found out that the sketch was on the opposite side. I also added my bottom and a back vertical for my desktop.
Tues, Jan 28 HW – Image of completed homework

Today for homework, I finished making the back for my Desktop. I used the extrude to also make my front part of the desktop.
Week 6
Fri, Jan 24 CW – image of work completed in class

In class, I finished my LED lamp by clamping and gluing the wood pieces together, while also soldering my wires together.
Fri, Jan 24 HW – image of completed homework

For homework, I finished extruding my left and right sides and I made the front sketch.
Wed, Jan 22 CW – image of work completed in class

Today in class, we started working on the new project. We first wroked on the left side sketch, and I used midpoint tools and the paper the teacher gave us to quickly follow the instructions. I also used variables to allow for the measurements to be quick and precise. I finally extruded my sketch by the wood thickness.
Week 5
Sat, Jan 18 CW – image of work completed in class

Today, I put my lower arm, upper arm, and base plate all together. I then added the LED lights to my upper arm and used the wires putting through the parts. Then, I tinned my wires and cut them to prepare for sottering.
Thur, Jan 16 CW – image of work completed in class

Today, I used the drill to make my wire holders wider for my wires. I also used the glue and my screws to attach my lower arms and upper arms. Moreover, I sanded my base plate with sandpaper and attached the wires.
Tues, Jan 14 CW – image of work completed in class

Today in class, I printed my base plates and base verts. Then, I used glue to glue them together and used the metal plates to glue them onto my base verts. Finally, I used small blocks to keep the base verts in place when glued to my base plate.
Week 4
Fri, Jan 10 CW – image of work completed in class

Today in class, I finished making the model of my base and I started to print them out. However, because there was no wood I was unable to print it, so I will do that next class. Although I couldn’t print, I downloaded all my sketches and will be ready next class.
Fri, Jan 10 HW – image of completed homework

Today for homework, I noticed that I had made some errors between my lower arms. To rectify my errors, I rewatched the videos and made sure I put my disks in the correct place and my base plates. Then I made the base verts correct by using the joints again.
Wed, Jan 8 -CW – image of work completed in class

For classwork today, I glued the magnets and disks onto my lower arm. Then, I glued them all together using wood glue to finalize my lower arm parts. Additionally, by using resin the gluing process was easier.
Wed, Jan 8 HW – image of completed homework

For homework, I edited my baseplate and added base verts. I then used the joint command to connect these onto the parts of the lamp. In order for the base plate to connect to the center of the bottom, I used two diagonal lines to create a point in the middle.
Week3
Thur, Dec 19 CWW – image of completed homework
(MISSED CLASS)
Thur, Dec 19 HW – None
Wed, Dec 18 CW – image of work completed in class
Today, I created and printed my lower parts while also gluing them all together. I also glued the magnets in my upper arm to finalize them. Next class, I will try to sand my lower arm parts and then glue them together.

Wed, Dec 18 HW – image of completed homework
Today for homework, I added a sketch onto my lower arm horizontal part so I could extrude any holes I need when printing. I used the projection tool so I could easily do this task.

Mon, Dec 16 CW – image of work completed in class
Today for classwork we started going on different individual paces. I finished working on adding lower arm sides and using the plates I made previously to connect them. After, I connected them all and made sure to use the joint command to allow for the arm to move. I also used a sander to make my wood more clearer after using the laser printer. Then, I assembled all my peaces together.

Mon, Dec 16 HW – image of completed homework
For homework, I made two disks and a sketch for my Lower Arm Side. I created two circles that are identical to the circle edges and extruded them with the material width. Additionally, I created the sketch by utilizing the cut, midpoint, and other sketch tools to align my work with the one in the video.

Week 2
Thur, Dec 12 CW – Image of work completed in class
Today in class, I finished making the Upper Arm Sides and printing them out. I downloaded my sketches into a drive and uploaded them to the desktop computer. We learned how to use the printers and how to use Rhino to make them. After applying all the settings and getting accustomed to them, I printed out my pieces and assembled them together.

Thur, Dec 12 HW – Image of completed homework
For homework, I added a big block in between the two Upper Arm sides. I utilized the combine tool to remove the overlapping parts and make sure the box could fit inside the holes. Additionally, I used the midpoint tool to make sure my box and the arm is on the same level.

Tues, Dec 10 CW – Image of work completed in class
Today, we worked on finishing up the Upper Arm Side for my LED LAMP project. Initially, I added wholes and circles inside the arm. Then I made a copy and created a total of two arms. Finally, I made a sketch of a box and used the midpoint tool to put it in between the two copies of the Upper Arm.

Tues, Dec 10 HW – Image of completed homework
Today for homework, I finished creating the Upper Arm Side for my LED LAMP project. I created two different circles with diameters of 0.6 and 1.5 inches. Then, I connected the lines with a line and used the tangent tool to make the line tangent to the circles. After this, I used the trim tool to cut out parts I don’t need that are inside the figure.

Week 1
Fri, Dec 6 CW – image of work completed in class
Today, we created another box with extra holes and a lid to create a lamp. Additionally, because we had extra time we were able to get a head start on creating our Led Lamp. The most important thing we learned today was how to create holes in solid figures and how to use other tools to make lines tangent with other figures.

Wed, Dec 4 CW – image of work completed in class
Today we learned how to use Fusion. The most important thing we learned today was that every part of your project must be in different components and we have to continue to check wether or not we are in the component and working on it.
